A Canna-Blog By Mike Robinson
“I like to do major things with minor cannabinoids. When we look into the truth behind plant medicine it’s easy to see why it’s been hidden away like some dark secret.”
“Cannabis… the answer for Cancer.’ -Mike Robinson, Cancer & Epilepsy Survivor, Recovery Warrior, and outspoken Cannabis Researcher & Activist
The story of Mike Robinson is not one of just his own path to healing with cannabis, but a story of love and caring for others, such as an extraordinary young woman by the name of Genevieve. Mike Robinson, founder of the Global Cannabinoid Research Center and former Director of Consumer Affairs and Communications at The American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine, wasn’t always a cannabis activist, caregiver, and educator. Years ago, Mike was a racecar driver, and though it was a career that he loved and embraced, it is nothing like his path today.

“The GCRC firmly believes in community over competition on a global basis. As a collective group of plant medicine specialists, it’s imperative we collaborate, cooperate, and work together.”
-Mike Robinson, Founder Global Cannabinoid Research Center

For nearly a decade Mike Robinson has run various large Cannabis Compassion programs – giving away oils to the masses in need has been his thing. In 2020 an astonishing 100,000,000 milligrams in over 25,000 products were given away during the onset of the Pandemic. This became the largest giveaway ever of CBD and CBG products.
Prior to the passage of recreational laws that hindered gifting products, other than hemp, from California – Robinson ran a huge program that led him towards what the world now knows as the Cannabis Love Story.
“Meeting Genevieve changed my life, I was dying with multiple staged cancers, and this angel among so many kids and others I brought oil to changed the course of history for me and others.” -Mike Robinson
The notoriety from his ongoing efforts in helping millions learn about plant medicine while also gifting oils and more to those in need has caused many to seek his Cannabinoid Advice as a nonmedical professional.
He’s now become a leading advisor to executives that use cannabinoid medicine after spending a year as one of the Directors at the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine in 2018 and then leaving there to found the Global Cannabinoid Research Center (GCRC).
Changing the face of healthcare and educating clinicians on the Endocannabinoid System are two primary goals of the Global Cannabinoid Research Center.
But for many, the need is there to simply gain usable advice on how to use plant-based medicines. For most, information that is based on specific and individual needs eludes cannabis/hemp and extract users.

We’ve engaged in endless Research and Development in this arena that’s generally overlooked. When cannabis/hemp strains are cultivated over periods of time this syndrome becomes very costly – strains will deviate in their terpene profiles and ultimately the consumer or patient will have weaker medicine while the grower gains a much lower yield on their crop. Everyone loses with Cannabis Domestication Syndrome – but at the Global Cannabinoid Research Center, we’ve found ways to turn this issue around.
It doesn’t matter if it’s recreational cannabis being grown or medicinal CBD – the same issue is occurring around our globe that must be addressed to maintain stability and continuity of cannabinoid and plant medicine. We’ve found answers we’ll be sharing with the world soon that will benefit both the person growing their own crop of medicine to the mass cultivator.
By the summer of 2016, a compassion patient named Genevieve was a child in such need of help that her seizures kept her in the hospital and on the floor most of the time, in desperation her mother reached out to someone she was referred to on social media – a ‘Compassion Provider’ Mike Robinson to bring her oils. Destiny slowly played its role in this story that will capture your heart.
Cannabis Compassion providers like Mike once roamed the nation giving away Cannabis and its oils to people in need – eventually that turned into a way to name places that sold products as ‘compassion centers’. The true provider was once a rogue part of society deemed a criminal for helping people with a plant that’s been marginalized since prohibition.
The Cannabis Love Story is a beautiful tale of how Compassion and love changed a child’s life and created a family.

The hemp extract CBD made its way to fame nearly a decade ago after CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta did interviews that featured young patients battling against life-threatening seizures using the hemp plant. But, there’s another cannabinoid Mike has his eye on – and that’s CBG.
“The world has been waiting for the next level in hemp extracts, one that will change the face of the Hemp” Mike Robinson, the founder of GCRC stated.
Many are aware the cannabis plant has two well-known compounds, THC and CBD, the two that have the medical and research world talking it up as well. Most consumers are unaware that there’s more hemp than that. “CBG has been around for quite some time, it’s just a matter of formulating it in a way that’s palatable and efficacious” Robinson explains.
The love of Genevieve – this girl loves carousels so much that her whole life is surrounded by her intense love for the horses, dragons, and other animals on the rides. This was a fundraiser that’s being changed into an educational nonprofit as we maneuver through the various ride closures and more in our current era.
