Cannabinoid Advice from Researcher & Educator Mike Robinson

There are so many types of cannabis and extracts, maneuvering through the online maze can be difficult.

Why some Online advice can be dangerous - especially for consumers:

As patients attempt to keep up with the flow of information in the world of cannabis millions of discussions are started daily online – and this is a good thing. But all too often advice is given without the type of information necessary to determine what would benefit someone vs. possibly hinder them.

Before accurate information on what cannabinoid concoction and protocol will most likely work best for a consumer, there’s a few things that I need to know – the list isn’t so short that these important questions can or should be answered in a social media exchange that lacks privacy or adequate time.

     For example:

1.) Complete diagnostic: “Cancer” or “Epilepsy” isn’t a diagnosis. Type of Cancer, Type of Epilepsy for example.
2,) I must know the name of ALL diagnostics – not just the one you’re inquiring about using cannabinoids with or wanting to create a protocol for.  Plant medicine affects people in various ways so quickly we can see the issue with ‘quick advice’ given in internet exchanges.
3.) Any other complications medically including all allergies are necessary – including allergies to medicines and over-the-counter drugs.
4.) A complete list of all pharmaceuticals, dosages, and when taken is a must. Without this information, there’s no way to know if you’re harming or helping with ‘advice’.  Many gain vital information online but sometimes it’s not information that pertains to their unique self.
5.) History of Cannabinoid use is also a must. Has the patient used THC, CBD, CBG, etc. before? When? How did they respond to cannabinoids? Details on this are necessary to give accurate information that allows the highest level of effective treatment.
6.) History of drug abuse or addiction, alcoholism, trauma, etc.
7.) Psych history if willing to share – in many states, this is considered separate from ‘medical’

Make your inquiry specific if you’re a patient in need. Executive patients – take your time as I’m charging you as your mechanic would. I’d think your body is more important than your car.
In order to adequately answer someone’s questions about plant medicine use, the type that’s used, amount to start with on dosing, and more – one must know who’s asking and in detail.

"I ate too many cannabinoids or I can't feel the effects"

These are both issues we deal with daily so reach and we’ll help. We’re not medical doctors nor healthcare providers but can guide you through the amazing maze of products available as well as help you in the maintenance of balance. Consultations are available for those who want to further their knowledge on this subject as well as our blog and other information we provide.

"I have tolerance issues with THC - Can you help?"

With Cannabis being declared as an ‘essential item’ during the rush of 2020 there’s been an increase in individuals who use THC and have built a tolerance that has become unmanageable. This is one of the top issues that we work with.
Keeping a balanced endocannabinoid system is a must whether it’s done through the use of various foods and exercise or via inhalation or ingestion of a myriad of plant elements. Many that use THC don’t reach out to the Hemp side of things and others using CBD don’t reach out to the THC side of things.
Either way, Balance is a must and without it, you’re heading for what’s known as a Bell Curve Effect. This is when you have an increased intake and decreased effectiveness.
The good news – you don’t need to quit THC – instead, learn a few ways to gain Endocannabinoid Balance which we’d love to teach you!
