Genbug Battling Autism & Epilepsy With CBD/Cannabis Oils

Today's Her 14th Birthday So We're Headed To Her Favorite Spot - The Carousel That's Soon To Close:

Almost one year ago to the day I met Genevieve. Such a blessing and joy to the world, she shows us that fighting severe autism and epilepsy can be done with a smile.

On the day we met she was seizing – emergency/rescue oil was administered and immediately she stopped. Her life has been changed to the positive since that day. But, as we celebrate her 14th birthday we think of the simple ways she makes us all smile. Never is she insisting on items that are unnecessary. All it takes to make Genevieve smile is a simple Ice Cream cone or a Carousel – even if she’s not on it.

Cannabis as her medicine replaced pharmaceuticals that caused her serious damage as many know. But that’s all changed. Let’s celebrate her day together!!

She loves those horses – I’ve tried sending her videos of me out in fields with horses thinking she’d get excited and she won’t watch them! She gets mad at the fact that I’m out with them and she’s not, it’s so funny but not at the same time. Genevieve is a light at the end of a tunnel we all call ‘our day’. Look at this smile….

She’s telling mom “I want you to get on that one” – I kept watching this and figured out that she wanted me up there with her! So on the next round, I got up and away we went! She kept pointing and signing to me to feed the horse next to her. I kept on doing it then she verbalized “No” and pointed to the seat and up and away I went on a carousel ride for the first time in decades actually on the horse! Gen loved it as you can see!

She LOVES this carousel. It’s always up on her phone or iPad and she’s talking – a nonverbal child talking day and night about “My Ride.. I go… Goooo” on and on and when that Ipad battery dies she doesn’t tell us right away – first we hear her from afar – ‘I(pad) died, I (pad) dieeeed..  it dieeed” she goes on verbalizing about the ride and her ipad until we plug it in. Then the arguments begin which at times we will just laugh so hard at. Talking so much she will tell us off as we tell her that her phone is charging. “It’s charging Bugs (her nickname Genbug)” we’ll tell her. “Iiiiiiiiii died… Iiiii gooo” she’ll tell us.  “They’re sleeping right now, let’s tickle them” and we tickle the carousel horses for her on the screen of the iPad. She can’t take it and runs off in laughter and quickly out of sight – but nowadays she’s definitely heard verbalizing away about her horses, her ride, and her iPad! From her desires for food to her ongoing desire to get on that carousel horse Genevieve is talking!

Someone outside of the world of nonverbal autism would likely argue that she’s “Just saying words and making a lot of other sounds” – but to those of us in this world – nonverbal autism severe epilepsy and 50% plus developmentally delayed? This is nothing short of remarkable. The plant is remarkable. Those that give to people or help people at cost are as well… remarkable people.

Oh, the stories I could tell about Genbug and her Ipad and phone, she uses them to speak with, color,  to watch cartoons,  and especially to watch her carousel videos! It’s not uncommon to hear laughter to no end coming from Genevieve’s room or even her ‘happy dance’ as we call it. First, it sounds like something fell down so we go running but then we discover that she’s dancing about with a huge smile on her face and a laugh going so hard that you can’t help but join in. Did Cannabis Oil cause this laughter – yes… it did. Was her life not so bright before the plant – not at all. Cannabis can and has made a difference.

Her Ipad and phones make her smile. I brought her all my extra androids when I came to stay with Anne Mari and the girls for Christmas. Little did we know that would end up where we are today – engaged with plans of creating the Santa Barbara Robinson family! If I could have wished this on New Year’s eve it would have been as if one of those wishes we make every year actually comes true!

Cannabis love created an entire household that’s spreading love across the globe. Genbug has a very special relationship with her older sister Fatima, 18. From the beginning since the vaccine injury that caused her severe developmental delays, Autism, Epilepsy, and OCD – her big sis has been there to show the love a child as Gen needs. With plans of a possible major in Early Childhood Development,  ‘Fati’ is showing one of the most beautiful outcomes of sisterhood between a severely disabled child and a neuro-typical one. Her interaction with her little sister has not only created love so easy to see in this photo – it’s created a desire to help the world. If people think that love is not addictive, all they need to do is read this story.

Even her little big sister (a title I gave 7-year-old Sydney Anne to help her feel important in Genevieve’s entire treatment and educational program) has joined in. It’s incredible to see a young child that has her own agenda take a step back to go color with her Autistic sister that spouted out to me “Gen knows what I’m doing but people think she doesn’t, but she likes me.”

Another thing Genevieve loves to do is go on Cab rides!  Anne Mari, the mom, has been a dispatcher on and off over the years and we have lots of friends that drive. When Genevieve sees the Cab at first we have to go through the ‘The horses are sleeping” routine because she thinks it’s an express route to the ride! So many things Genevieve does make my heart smile. Take a look at Miss Independent getting into the Cab to get a ride to school. A very close friend is driving. With doors locked for safety, Genevieve will just stare out the window laughing and smiling – she loves the feeling of the car driving down the road and the wind in her hair.  I look at these photos and I see the simplicity of happiness. I see how complicated this world makes it to be happy and how easily a child-like Genevieve is able to escape what we believe is ‘reality’. I think her reality is endless and ours is cramped by our nonstop thoughts. Anyway… look at this girl go!

Mom is getting her ready to go and letting her know the Cab is waiting, there’s no stopping Genbug once she knows she’s going for a ride!

She takes a look back at mom and me for only a moment because this girl can’t wait to go!

And away she goes! This was on one of the last days of the school year when she missed the bus. Knowing cab drivers can come in handy – thanks Herb(Our Cabbie friend)! There have been so many people that have helped Genevieve it’s rather hard to hand out a list. I’d rather let those that know read this and see just how far she’s come.  This is a reminder of what Genbug looked like before Cannabis Oil – we definitely wouldn’t be having the 2-day celebration that’s starting today! Without a doubt, nature’s gift to us has changed her life. Take a look:

If you want to send Genbug a birthday present – find your old android cell phones that have sturdy cases and factory reset them. Contact me if you’d like to give her an old one as she uses them all the time and loves them. This little girl, such a warrior and so much love to give us all, will cry and cry when she doesn’t have a device. Sure we could work on that behavior but why? Why should we quench the emotion she’s showing and expressing when she doesn’t have that one simple thing she wants. Let’s face it – kids will complain about everything from TV shows, chores, what they’re eating, on and on – you name it. Testing boundaries is all part of growing up. But, all this little girls wants is her Ipad and a Carousel ride. We’ll give it to her. The person that supplied her current iPads knows who he is and I express my love for doing that. It takes special people to realize these special children need every bit of encouragement, love, and attention we can give them. There is no measure of the love I have for her. Genbug has became much more than a huge part of my life that I can never imagine not having. Her love she has to give us is immeasurable. There is no payment anyone could ever make equivalent to the smile on her face or the joy I see in her.  Enjoy the photo’s and remember today is the day that our maker gave Genevieve life and did so for a reason. She’s a living lesson for each and everyone of us.

Without Bugs in my life I would seriously be lost….  I love her that much.

Happy 14th Birthday Bugs – I love you!!!
