Written by In 2022, MJBiz Con will hold its 11th anniversary, the largest and most anticipated event of the cannabis business year. Every year at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the week of Cannabis is highlighted by events surrounding this gathering of plant-loving executives, speakers, exhibitors, and networking gurus. But, this year, there’s an extraordinary event for the 30,000 anticipated guests interested in attending – the Weeding of Penny Lane and Dub. Two love birds have chosen the Main Event of Business Cannabis Expos for business to exchange their vows.
Let’s learn a little bit more about these two, but please mark your calendars for one week from today – Wednesday, November 16th at 6 pm is the time to save for a visit to the Chapel of the Flowers and to watch two love birds become one. I’ve spoken at many events and have been to many shows, but never has a wedding been at one, so this is beyond unique.

November is a month many people I know celebrate Epilepsy Awareness, and that makes this wedding every more special. Garnished in purple under her green flowered presence, Penny is part of the crowd that stops the seizures with our beloved Cannabis plant. She’s one of few that can relate to what all of us go through and represents the crowd of Purple-loving Epilepsy Awareness folks without drawing attention to herself. “I see no reason to hide behind Epilepsy or to walk around looking for pity, I don’t want that; my desire is for the Cannabis Industry to understand further all people who need this plant,” she shared with me.
“I don’t need, or want, to be known as the person that can’t handle Epilepsy, instead my wish is to be the example for so many who can’t do what I do, who can’t get out of their home, and for the countless individuals that need love in their life and hope. I’m here, I’m it, I am living my life despite obstacles, and that example should help others,” stated the well-versed influential Woman of Cannabis.
Penny was diagnosed at a very young age with Drug-Resistant Epilepsy, a form of epilepsy that cannot be controlled by pharmaceutical medicine. After spending half her life seeking answers for the crippling seizures, she experienced from one epilepsy center to the next; she was diagnosed correctly.
Refusing to give up, Penny traveled to the Emerald Triangle of Northern California and sought cannabis as a cure. With that desire to heal, Penny enveloped herself in the knowledge of her elders in every facet of cannabis.
Instead of giving in to the seizures, she educated herself in all aspects of the cannabis industry. “I learned it all from A-Z and anything in between, furthering a brand’s capacity as well as connecting the right people who come to me naturally,” she stated.
Penny Lane is well known for her smile and positive vibes, but she’s also a relevant Brand Ambassador, Social Influencer, and Cultivation & Dispensary Consultant in the cannabis industry. “I’m in this for a reason beyond income or anything else, and my main goal is to see the industry flourish with safe and effective products brought to consumers by companies that care. My work focuses on this, so I make it to numerous shows yearly. MJ BIZ Con is the biggest, so I decided it was where I wanted to celebrate my future life as a wife,” Penny exclaimed with excitement.
