Written by Melody Came To Us Needing Help With Her Hands So She Could Continue Writing Letters And Making Care Bears For Terminally ill And Disabled Kids:
When I first met Melody Murphy on Facebook she struck me as an extremely kind soul. After working with her to help her severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and other issues in her hands – which not even steroids would help her with, saying she’s a kind soul is an understatement! She spends her days and nights searching for children in need.
What she offers them is so unique and so special that photos speak way louder than words. She makes Care Bears, Special Forever Friends as she calls them, and sends them to children in hospitals, facilities, and at their homes along with the mail. She stays in touch with her kids in such a special way that only visiting her Facebook page can truly show.
We’ll go on and hear her story in her own words and take a look at why she came to me in pain – unable to write at all. Her hands so swelled that she was no longer able to provide the precious children with loving gifts and letters that warm their hearts and soul.
For these kids with severe disabilities and life-threatening illnesses, I knew that helping Melody meant that kids that are going through so much more than most of us could handle… would be happy again.

Either that or you’ll want to figure out a way to help her out. Melody messaged one day and was unable to type, her hands were so swelled up she couldn’t use them.
We’d worked on a muscle rub that included a CBD type of non-psychoactive cannabis oil infused into another type of oil called MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides).
We then made a mix of multiple essential oils to soak deep into the tissue, ligament, and bone. This is what her hands looked like when she texted unable to continue on her mission of love:
Many are aware of the incredible healing properties essential oils have including those of the Cannabis plant. When the world watched little Charlotte Figi on CNN gain control of seizures using extracted cannabidiol – a cannabinoid within the plant that has no ability to get a person high, people were amazed and have not stopped talking about this extracted element of the very well studied Cannabis and Cannabis Hemp Plant.
What it does is act as one of the strongest anti-inflammatory agents known to mankind. From stopping seizures based on reducing swelling in the lining of the brain to allowing athletes to perform at peak by reducing pain from injuries that are inflamed – CBD products have gained momentum and are close to the leading cannabis-related sales products within the industry.
What was interesting in Melody’s case is she has absolutely no desire to use the plant for any reason other than topically applied to the skin to be able to write and help the kids. All we had to do was put our heads together and make an essential oil combination in a pain rub or lotion that was so intense that it would last and absorb into joints allowing her work that is so rare nowadays to continue.
This is what this new mixture with multiple cannabinoids, CBD, essential oils of multiple types, and a nonallergenic lotion came out looking like:
Anne Mari and I worked on a combo of multiple different oils from mints to camphor and more. We’d had experience with another compassion provider making a muscle rub with Full Extract Cannabis Oil.
That caused me to break out so we thought why not try it on our own. Adding a CBD in the MCT oil mixture would allow the combination of all essential oils used to soak in well and heal her hands – or at least that was the plan. With all these kids counting on her we had to do something.
She creates all these smiles and so many more are waiting for her. All we could do was hope it would work for her with the knowledge that CBD is one of the most powerful agents on earth for swelling and with how her hands were looking I felt that nature was the only option. Melody wasn’t interested in Cannabis itself for any type of other use but turned to us in need of help so she could help others.

I’m having some bad side effects from all meds I’m still on but with still a little soreness dont want to stop right now. But God bless you both I CAN WRITE AGAIN. Sent out 8 envelopes of Melody’s mail to the children.

Both Anne Mari and I looked at the photos she sent and were baffled at how fast that special formula shrunk the swelling and allowed her to write again. Here’s an after photo from the very first day and application of it:
Incredible to say the very least. The swelling that had locked up her joints literally disappeared within an hour of application. Within the same day she was writing letters and making her Special Forever Friends care bears again – even one for our Genevieve! I asked Melody to tell us a little bit more about what she does in her own words, so she did!
“I make Special Forever Friends. I send them out when I can afford to ship as I do it all myself. They are more a comforting friend. I also crochet awareness scarfs and slippers for kids again all this is rally funded by me. Prayers are free and offered upon need. I send monthly mail to children who need a pick me up.” And sometimes those kids will answer her back like this:
“Granted some of this slows down at times due to funding I sent out 2 boxes the other day shipping was 54.00, that’s a lot but I know those boxes hold a lot of love. Everything is purchased especially for that child’s clothes, binky, and animal. My full diagnosis is Chronic pain, mantic depression, bipolar, pseudo seizures, COPD, fibromyalgia, lung disease, magnesium allergy which caused 2 botched knee replacements, RA severe, acute chronic bronchitis and pneumonia, immune-deficient, migraines, and bad back 3 herniated disc. Those I can think of, I’ve had approximately 25 surgeries. My doctor calls me a complex case – I’m still trying to figure what the heck that means. My pain is so bad I’ve begged them to amputate my leg but they claim whether there’s a leg or not, the pain will be there. So this is my life. It’s painful, disappointing and sometimes I pray to die to be pain-free. Then I get a colored picture from a child returning mail favor and I struggle forward.”
The very least we could do for her was to make sure she had enough of this to last for months and months to come. I could not believe the love that Melody spreads throughout the world. These kids have her – but who does she have? Let’s take a look at what Melody’s workshop looks like. I sure hope there are a few readers out there that would like to help her to help the children.
