Ron’s Incredible Story: Cannabis Treats Everything

Treating Pain, Heart Conditions, Glaucoma, Depression, Sleep Apnea & Thyroid Condition ALL with Cannabis;

“I broke my back in 1999 and was immediately put into pain management. I’ve had 10 back surgeries over the years since. As the years passed, I had to increase my pain meds but they never seemed to help the pain. I was on a dozen meds in 2014. I was up to 358 pounds and couldn’t move. Literally. In 2013, my brain started shutting down from hypoxia and my heart was swelling. By mid-2014, it got worse. By nothing short of a miracle, I made it to a doctor’s office, thinking I had the flu, where I went into cardiac arrest and went unresponsive. They did CPR and rushed me to the hospital where I woke up 4 days later not knowing who I was. I spent the next 10 months at many doctor’s appointments having blood checked, heart checked, everything checked. They gave me new medications and said I would be taking them for the rest of my life. In my head, something snapped.   In March of 2015, I told my doctors I was going to stop ALL my medications.”

“They didn’t think it was a good idea but I did it anyway. All by myself with no family, no friends, no rehab, no drugs, and no plan, curled up on my living room floor. The physical withdraw from opiates was pretty agonizing. I was on them 16 years taking high doses of two different kinds a day. Along with a handful of other prescribed narcotics and meds. Someone told me to try weed. Since I had been doing searches for ANYTHING that can help someone getting off opiates and was coming up with more drugs and rehab, I figured I would give weed a try. It more than helped. Stressing that the ONLY thing I was going to use weed for was withdraw,

here is a brief list of what it has done for me so far:

  1. Most notable is weight loss. I didn’t diet. I don’t take any supplements. I haven’t had weight loss surgery. I’ve lost 158 pounds, almost half my body weight from 3 years ago.
  2. My heart rate used to rest in the ’90s. I’ve dropped below 40 a couple of times now but I’m usually around 52. The doctors diagnosed me with sinus bradycardia, low heart rate, or runner’s heart. I needed the help of a cane for years. Now the elliptical machine needs help when I get done with it.
  3. Blood pressure issues since very young and treated with bp meds. I haven’t taken bp meds now in 2 years and my bp is low. Just yesterday it was 113/64. Crazy!!
  4. The blood clots I had in my heart, legs, and lungs are gone. I stopped taking blood thinners with the rest of my meds. My before, during, and after blood work charts on how weed affected my INR while on thinners, are remarkable.
  5. Sleep apnea is gone. I had to sleep over a year with that thing strapped to my head. I quit using it but had to prove to the doctors I didn’t need it. I took a couple of tests for them and was cleared.
  6. Glaucoma I was treating with drops: the pressure is low enough that I no longer have to use them.
  7. Depression- I was on a couple of antidepressants over the years. Some made me think suicidal thoughts. None of them helped. With weed, I can cope so much better with all the stress of life.
  8. Control pain: I have bad pain. Nerve pain. Nerve damage. Taking opiates long-term only made me addicted to them. They never really helped me with the pain so much. Weed is phenomenal in this department. I had back surgery last year and took zero pain meds after, other than cannabis. It was a big surgery too.
  9. Thyroid problems halted in their tracks.”

“There’s so much more. I have pages of medical tests that show how weed initially affected me. I could never have made it to where I am without weed. This could be saving so many lives. The biggest difference weed made over opiates was the quality of life. I’ve spent most of my adult years being a cripple on a bunch of medication, clinging to life. While my back is still a mess, it doesn’t get to me as it did. I easily medicate around the pain. Life is different for me. It’s actually life. I’ve taken maybe half a dozen Advil the past 2 years and nothing else. I haven’t needed anything else.

“Not all of my family and friends accept it. As much as they can see for themselves the proof, they feel better making fun of the stoner. Shame. It bothers me the way I have to get my cannabis. It bothers me I can’t get what I need where I’m at. It bothers me that I’m considered a criminal. It bothers me that people who know very little about weed are making lists of ailments for the medical. It has too many benefits to limit it. Everyone who wants healthy alternatives to pharmaceuticals should be allowed to do what they wish. Especially with an opiate epidemic that could be crushed with cannabis if it were legal. Almost like the plant was put on this earth for just such an occasion.”

It’s so awesome to see the plant do so much for so many people. Over and over again we know first hand of people that have relieved themselves of addiction and more than pharmaceuticals cause. Ron is a perfect example of how just one plant can create freedom from literally a handful of pills daily. His story is so compelling that any doctor unwilling to consider Cannabis is obviously biased towards the consumption of what we know to be very deadly chemicals that most of us have known to accept as part of our lives – prescription drugs. Sometimes it’s a quick reaction that causes a problem or in the case of pain medications – a long-term addiction that destructs the person’s life and many times those around them that care. Ron is the reason we all should demand that our government end prohibition immediately. Enough people are suffering. Cannabis and its oils work well for so many people of all ages for so many different health and wellness concerns.
