In 2014 CNN ran a story on 3-year-year-old Landon Riddle who was battling deadly Leukemia, his mom a centerpiece in all of it refused to allow authorities to tell her how to help her son who was quickly diminishing to the chemotherapy that was offered as a life-saving treatment. Her desire to use cannabis as medicine was frowned upon, to say the least. Today, 8 years later, his mother Sierra Lynn Riddle prepares to tell his story in depth.
Team Landon and Team Genevieve have planned to join together and give the world dual stories to read in one book in 2022. Many have read Genevieve’s Journey in High Times and articles like the Cannabis Love Story that tells how she escaped the depths of severe autism and epilepsy – and millions of others have wondered what happened to this cannabis rock star named Landon Riddle.
Kids that have overcome serious health issues like these two are the very thread that hold the entire cannabis movement together as they give everyone from lawmakers to those in the industry a ‘why’ – a reason to make this plant available to everyone. Many are skeptical about what legalization may do and that makes sense, as we move forward towards the U.S. ending prohibition we must also look back at how this plant proved itself through the most vulnerable members of our society. Cannabis didn’t have to go on this trial to become innocent – it always has been – but now that kids like Landon grow up and Genevieve becomes an adult that’s flourishing the entire game changes as no longer can society villanize what’s saved our kids.
Together we’ll tell you our stories, but for now, let’s look back at a bit of what Sierra had to say in 2013 – and here’s the CNN report.

Cannabis Brings Hope to Team Landon
In our craze of research for something to keep my son Landon alive during Chemotherapy for his Leukemia we came across many studies that showed Cannabis could indeed give him a good quality of life while fighting the treacherous Cancer & give him the relief the Narcotics & Pharmaceuticals’ couldn’t. We also came to hear of an amazing family who was growing the best Cannabis in the World. The Stanley’s They would prove to be our saving grace & a true gift from God!
Amanda & Joel Stanley’s hearts were instantly melted by sweet little Landon. They got to witness just how ugly Cancer was & how ill Chemo was making Landon. Soon after his first dose of Cannabis Landon was feeling a lot better than he had in months!!
Landon started taking Cannabis in January 2013. People always ask me if it was hard to convince the two Doctors to recommend Landon for the Medical Marijuana Program. Those Doctors took one look at Landon & his Cancer File & signed for his red card. They could see just how ill he was, as could everyone else” -Sierra Lynn Riddle, Landon’s Mom
Something as small & simple as a smile was not something we had seen on Landon’s handsome face in quite some time…Our hearts were filled with joy that cannabis brought back the smile to Landon’s face!” -Sierra Lynn Riddle #TeamLandon #OGCannaMom
Landon Riddle is now an apprentice to a Master Cannabis Grower, he beat Cancer!
Genevieve's Journey Continues...
Genevieve enjoys her mini carousel ride every day and has named all of her horses. She’s made over a dozen years of cognitive gains in the last 5 and continues to grow in every way. She’s caught up for many of the years she’s lost and although is still severely autistic she’s happy and communicative in so many ways. Genevieve no longer uses pharmaceuticals and has continued to maintain nonconvulsive seizure-free status for 3 years.
Both Genevieve and Landon are Cannabis Rock Stars, they take center stage whether they wanted to or not and teach the world the Cannabis Plant can make it a better place. We see just looking at them that it’s not about people getting high and all of the past stigmas are worthless when it comes to considering our children’s well being. As parents, we must do what’s necessary for our children to survive.
Sierra Lynn Riddle went through investigations and more due to the fact she wanted to use Cannabis – she set a precedent for many caregivers and parents as a mom who fought the system and won – and so did her child.
Cannabis.. it's always been medicine.
